Christmas decorating is a labor of love for many of us. We all look forward to dazzling family and friends with our own unique Christmas style. Christmas ideas that display something about us and our families. As the days leading up to Christmas quickly pass, there is little time that remains for completing DIY projects. Luckily, tiered stands do not require much time.

Style Your Tiered Stand for Christmas – Edin 2 Tiered Stand

The tiered stand I used for these ideas is the Edin Wood 2-Tiered Stand. The Edin stand has two wired tiers. What I especially like about the Edin stand is the pretty scalloped edges around each tier.

 

Style Your Tiered Stand for Christmas with Holly Jolly Christmas 

Top Tier of the Holly Jolly Christmas  

On the top tier, we first added a double peppermint candy cane set. Embellished with holly, the striped candy canes are made from burlap. The candy canes add some height to the tiered stand. And second, it gives the stand a rustic farmhouse look. For a more compact tiered stand, we would remove the candy cane set from the stand. Since this is the Christmas season, we want a greater impact to the stand.  

The snowman give the stand a whimsical look. One with a scarf wearing snowman with black beret and red ear muff. The second Snowman is wearing a Santa Claus hat and holding some garland.  

Between the two Snowman, we added the lid of a gift box. The lid is adorn with Christmas trees, gifts, and a Merry Christmas greeting on the front. The gift box is less expensive than a wooden sign with a similar greeting. Another choice is to use tin cans or boxes from the Dollar store. Gift boxes and tin cans are more affordable than wooden signs. 

Bottom Tier of the Holly Jolly Christmas  

On the bottom tier, two small gift boxes were added. One plaid box and a Christmas themed box was placed by the spindle. The gift boxes have a dual purpose. They act as a background and as support for items in front.

A small wreath was placed in the middle of the lower tier. The wreath, a previous year’s gift, adds a woodland look to the tiered stand. To the far right, red, silver, and white baker’s twine ball was placed. Baker’s twine adds a festive look to the tiered stand.  

To the far left, are some pre wrapped Peppermint Gems. It never hurts to add something a little sweet! A holly embellished white lantern from the Dollar store was added. A jolly snowman stands happily in front of the woodland wreath. The snowman is an old expired spent gift card. A green glistening Christmas tree is added behind the Baker’s twine.   

Finally, we dropped a few ornaments as fillers on both tiers. The red, green, and white ornaments are in a variety of shapes. We included glittered snowflakes, red six pointed stars, matte finish white onion, glossy red and apple green ornaments.

Top Tier of the Return Home with the Family Christmas Tree 

In the foreground, a trio of glistening green trees rests on the top tier. The three trees give the tiered stand some height. A red tin with Christmas tree truck lays opposite a small white tea light house. Between the tin and tea light house, a white Christmas tree rests.    

Bottom Tier of the Return Home with the Family Christmas Tree 

The classic and iconic red pickup with large wire wheels rests on the second tier. It is hauling 3 bottle brush trees in the bed. An apple green Christmas tree stands next to a red tin box with white snowflakes. 

To finish off the stand, we added a few red, apple green, and white ornaments. We hung some ornaments that depict the iconic red pickup truck on the scalloped edge.

In rural American years ago, families did not purchase Christmas trees. Typically, Christmas trees were cut down. Many families participated in the annual trek to the woods in search for the family Christmas tree. The family would locate the perfect tree. Then, the tree was cut down in the woods. After carrying the tree out of the woods, the family would haul the tree home in the back of a pickup truck. Life was so much fun in those days.

Style Your Tiered Stand for Christmas – Tomte Standing Watch Over Families and the Farmland 

Top Tier of the Tomte Standing Watch Over Families and the Farmland

A Tomte or Gnome diligently watches over the farmland. Scandinavian folklore recalls the story of the protective Tomte. The elderly bearded Tomte guards over the children, families, and their farms. In this tiered stand, the Tomte guards the silo. Around the Tomte and silo we added some pearl, pearlescent, and silver berries to the base. Three silver Christmas trees in the foreground give the stand some depth.

The lower tier has two small farm houses. White Christmas trees and pine cones surround the farm houses. Snowflakes and white ornaments embellish the stand. The families sleep more securely knowing that Tomte watches over their farms and families over the evening hours.

Top Tier of the Natural Beauty of the Christmas Woodlands

Perched quietly on a birch stump in the woods is a brown and white owl. The top tier includes coiled reeds and snow covered pine cones. For the background, a green Christmas tree sits between the two birch stumps. Peaceful and serene Christmas woodlands scene. 

Bottom Tier of the Natural Beauty of the Christmas Woodlands

Gazing into the woods, two owls can be seen in the lower tier. Adorned with pine cones, coiled reeds, snowflakes, a white Christmas and evergreen trees. This decor reflects the true beauty of the woods.

Metallic blue star rests in front of pom pom ornaments and a rustic lantern. A mercury silver votive holder lays next to the lantern. For the background, silver Christmas trees provide a back drop.

Gray tin displays a Happy Holidays message. Blue and silver mercury ornaments lay next to a rustic crown on the lower tier.  An enamel dish soap holds a white Christmas sequence cross. The decor depicts the anticipation of the arrival of Christmas.
