The follow is a list of household items that are poisonous to your cat!  Protect your cats from these items by either storing or placing them out of reach or eliminating them altogether from your home.

Acetaminophen or Tylenol – usually stored in your medicine cabinet

Amaryllis – more prevalent during the Christmas holiday season

Aspirin – usually stored in your medicine cabinet

Chocolate – careful when eating chocolate around your pets

English Ivy – outdoor cats are more likely to come in contact with this ivy

Ibuprofen or Advil – usually stored in your medicine cabinet

Lilies – typically seen outdoors in gardens but also seen many times in cut floral arrangements

Marijuana – some states have relaxed laws regarding use of marijuana, care should be exercised when used around pets who could potentially inhale the smoke

Rat poison – if you have cats or any pets, it is best to avoid using this or any poison

Sago Palm – indoor house plant in colder climates and outdoor plant in warmer climates
